Batman beats Wariner over 200m
Daniel Batman beats American superstar Jeremy Wariner over 200m in Sydney.
Batman led the 200m from the start to a time of 20.81 seconds; Wariner second in 20.93.
"He's proven that he's a champion so anytime you can take a scalp like that it's an honour,"
"But in saying that it's February, a long way from the competitive European season."
Wariner has nothing to worry about as he was running at half his distance and was taking it as a training run.
"This is really just a tune-up race for me to see where I'm at with my training and what I need to work on,"
"I've got a lot of improvement to do. It's early in my season, it's only February, Olympics aren't til August. I knew (Batman) was a good runner."
Wariner will step on the track over 400m in Melbourne on Thursday.
